Wow, thought they would be tied together, never actually checked it. Good to know.

So what I am reading here is that the odometer is not linked to the speedometer?

Documentation? I can't see having 2 sensors, since they essentially read the same thing.

I've been wrong before....

When I had my 2010 RK my speedometer was off about 5 mph. When I went on rides with some of my riding buddies I would show a higher mileage than what they had for the same identical trip. I finally had the dealer check it out and they replaced it under warranty. So I do believe that the speedo and the odometer ARE tied into eachother and not working independently.

True, there is only 1 speed sensor.

That was my belief, but there are posts in this thread that claim otherwise.

Hmmmm, maybe I'm wrong, won't be the first......

It could be just a small difference then. My speedo was off by about 5 mph at 70. After I made the change with my PV, I made my normal trip to work. It always showed 32.3 to 32.5 miles and gps was always 30 - 30.1 miles. After I made the change to the speedo, it showed the exact same 32.3 to 32.5 miles.

I wonder if I run the PV numbers up and down and go for a test frive if that would be tampering with the odometer!

One sensor. Change the speedometer calibration and you change the odometer calibration. Takes no time at all to adjust with a PV or TTS.
