Default C&C Solo w/ wide pillion comfort?

I really like the look of the Solo w/ the wide pillion option but I have a couple of questions.
1. Can they make this seat so you are in the same position as the factory SG seat and would the wide seat be the same as the factory seat as far as size?
2. Is this seat comfortably for 4 day trips over 2k miles?
3. Is the wide pillion a big improvement over the factory seat for the passanger? She doesn't tour with me so were talking about day trips with her in the 200 mile range. She hates the stock seat and I understand why.

I'm going to get her a new seat and was looking at the Sundowner but if this option is a big improvement over stock I could get a seat that I would like and be comfortable in as well as a seat she will like for day rides. Win win...lol

So is no one using the 10 1/2" passenger pillion with their C&C solo seat? Really need to know what your passenger thinks about the comfort of this setup. Thanks!

I can't tell you anything about the wide pillion, I have a SportTour on my 09 SG (ride 2up 95% of the time). I can tell you that C&C was easy to work with on my SportTour, when I asked them to move the seating position forward 1" to stock seat position (normal position for SportTour is back 1"). I'm slightly height challenged, so the extra 1" helped my reach to the bars and gave my wife a little more space. She's small, but likes to move around back there, so she wasn't very happy when I was 1" back.

We've tried a number of seats. The C&C was not the most comfortable (HD Hammock wins that), but overall considering styling, reach, and comfort I'm sticking with the C&C. My wife also rated the Hammock the most comfortable. Her second favorite was a Mustang we used for a while. She likes the C&C and has said it's light years ahead of the stock seat for her comfort.

I looked at the sport tourer as well but just thought the solo with pillion would get me a great seat as well as improving the passenger comfort. My wife doesn't tour with me, her limit is day rides and I need to improve her comfort. I might just buy the dang Sundowner for when she rides and stick to the stock seat when I'm solo. If I go this route I'll probably send the stocker to MCC for some extra comfort. But I really like the C&C solo and don't want to buy two new seats..lol

I have the wide pillion but my wife only takes short rides so I can't help you with info on long trips.
What she doesnt like is that it is pretty low so it cramps up her legs (she is 5'8").
As far as the solo seat it is real comfortable for all day riding.

I have the solo with the wide pillion. Great quality, fit and the C&C people are the best you can find to deal with. My wife says that the pillion is comfortable on day trips. No complaints.

Ive got about 70000 miles on a C and C sport tour seat. The foam is now shot but it was my go to seat for touring. Got my iron *** on it. 1025 miles backed up with a 900 miles the following day.
I am going to do a custom C&C for my 2013 cvo.

My girlfriend is good on my 10.5" pillion for about 300 miles. The last 2 pics in the link below (page 2) show XL & Jumbo #2 pillions. These look much larger than my 10.5".
