The Bike is Not Lowered - on my Sig its the Blue 2007 FLHX

His Running 12" Works Spring Shock - set up for 75% 2 up riding

The: 150 Vs the 140 is Taller

The: 150 70 18 is 1.200 inches Taller -

How can you fix loosing 1.2 inches of Travel

Its rubbing the bottom of my buddies fender - its real bad....

The Width: Had to remove the Belt Guard - this is No Big Deal

Never seen a problem but apparently you have one. 2009 and newer sizes change as they have a wider rear wheel but that is not the issue here.

If you are running lower than stock shocks (shorter than 12") with an 18x4.25 you want to double check the clearance between the fender and top of the rear tire. Whoever has the belt rubbing, what size is your tire, wheel and what year is your bike? What kind of wheel are you running? Where did you get it?

Wheels are a specialty item and it is best to deal with a place that has a lot of experience with that specific item as opposed to a "we sell everything" kind of place who blows stuff out for pennies on the dollar as some sales people have a tendency to say anything to make a sale.

In my years in the wheel industry I am yet to have an issue with an 18x4.25 on the rear of a 2006-2008 FLHX. Is your bike lowered? If so how? How much? Does the wheel have the proper hub on it? Who installed it? What is rubbing. There is so much more information necessary to help you with your issue. It is my pleasure to help but I need to know more please.

Nice Bike !

But how did you fix loosing 1.2 inches of Travel ?

The 150 Vs 140 Tire is 1.200 inches taller , is your fender Stock ?

he's running 12" Works shocks so did something happen to his frame ?

We cant figure how you can run a Taller tire and not Rub.....

Hmm. That is an odd quandry. I literally sell this size wheel for your year and model bike many times weekly and never have issues. An easy fix is to put taller shocks on but I tend to think something else is wrong. Hard to say without seeing the bike in person but PM is usually spot on with their information as well. You don't become the biggest wheel company around without knowing your stuff.

I'm not saying you are wrong, only speaking from personal experience. I know there is an exception to every rule as well.

Wow

It states 4.2" Taller 150 Vs 140 but I think that's a "Overall" dim.

We got 1.2 inches taller

When you loose 1.2" of travel ya can't get it back

Try using this. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos

I think your just looking to get a rise out of people.

I ran a 150/70/18 in both Metzler and Avon for over 25,00 miles on my 07 Road Glide. Ran 12" Progressive 440's. It never rubbed.

Default 18” 4.25 rim with 140/70 18 tire

Works perfect. New chrome rear pulley, matched the 1.5” 70T stock, came with a spacer that I DID NOT USE, and everything worked perfect. Have between 3-8 and 1/4 gap with the belt. I’m 6’5” 270lbs and wife is 120lbs and zero issues with any rubbing or clearance when we ride.
