Default 05 FXST to 07 FLHTC - Vibration

Just got 500 miles on the new bike. The 05 Softail Standard was so smooth with the 88b engine, hardly any vibration at all. The Electaglide vibrates quite a bit, even a crusing speed. My SO says she is so uncomfortable that she can't ride the way is is. This is the first time out for her on the new bike. Is this normal? I expected as smooth, if not more so, than the standard. Will this vibration smooth out after putting a few miles on it? It's not teeth rattling for me, but it is for her.I hope it will get better.[/align]

My 07 ultra is smooth sailing on the highway. No vibration at any speed above idle. At idle it will shake the s**t out of you, but that's due to the rubber mounted motor vs the fixed frame counter balanced motor of the softtail. If you have a vibration at cruising speed, I would have to think you have a problem. I went from a softtail to an ultra also. At cruising speed the ultra is a much smoother ride.
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I guess I need to take it to the dealer to see what is going on.

The 07 96" engine vibrates more at idle then my 05 88" did. My fatboy is smooth because of the balanced engine. Why cant they make a "b" engined bagger? On the highway both are fine.
