Hey All,
I need to replace the rear fender running light(bottom of fender) on my 07 streetglide (again) I seen there is an upgrade where this light can be upgraded to a run/brakelight. Anyone done this to their's and did you have any issues?

Did mine not too long ago. Like TDogg, I used the smoked version of H-D's LED rear fender tip light. Stupid easy install, as long as you aren't also using/installing the H-D LED rear turn signals.
The only problem I had was wiring the "brake" wires from both the H-D rear LED turn signals and this fender tip light. H-D's instructions tell you to utilize the same slot for the brake wire. The turn signal instructions say use pin 2 of the fender tip light socket. Which is great, as long as it's a stock fender tip light and not already using pin 2 like in the LED fender tip light...
Two terminals, one slot. I cut the terminal off of one, stripped the insulation a bit, tinned the stranded wire, and jammed it into the Pin 2 slot along with the terminal from the other. Not mil spec by any means, but it's secure and seems to work.
The 07 street glide has the light behind the fender that shows through the slots. I just wired a led run/brake that has amber turns on a friends bike. Looks like this one. Don't know if this is the same one he has. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Smoke-Tri-Ba...1db130&vxp=mtr
To wire in the one I did, it was three wires that go to the plug on the left side under the seat between the frame and fender (red, white, and black), then there were 2 wires (blue-right, yellow-left) that we soldered to the respective purple wires under the taillight that goto the turn signals.

Just bought this one off Amazon but haven't installed it yet and it looks like the same thing as above. I did hook it up to a 12V battery pack to make sure all the lights and signals worked. I'm not going to use the turn signals and just wanted it for a running and brake light.

I did the HD kit. Super simple and one of those things that you wonder why the MoCo didn't do it as stock.
