after i turn on the ignition and wait for the fuel pump to prime, then start the bike it kicks back on and constantly make the humming sound from priming.
has any one ever had this happen, or have an idea what the fix is?
Yep.....Take the fuel cap off and look in the tank while the bike and pump are running. If you see the fuel being churned up in the tank, then you've got a hole rubbed in the internal line from the pump. This is a fairly common thing and there's lots of information here about the problem and the fix. Do a search and you'll get more info than you can possibly use.
Be sure to check the throttle plate adjustment screw. It looks like an idle speed screw but it is not. It is used to keep the throttle plate from closing all the way so the bike stays running after a stint on the highway that heats everything up and makes it easier for the throttle plate to seal off outside air at idle.
Check if the screw is loose by taking a pair of needle nosed pliers and try to turn the screw from the backside.
If it moves you got one of the bikes to get out of the factory in 2007 (common issue) without locktite.
Let us know what you find. If loose we can direct you how to reset it and keep it from moving.

When you first turn the ignition on the ECM will run the fuel pump for 3 seconds to get fuel pressure up to 55-60? psi then shut off with the pressure remaining.
Once you start the engine the pump will then be activated and run continuously until the ignition is shut off. This is to maintain the 55-60? psi so the injectors can keep a predictable stream of fuel to the combustion chambers. If the psi exceeds the 60psi a regulator valve will open and return excess fuel to the tank.
if you look at your tank you have two hoses, one is the high pressure hose coming from the fuel pump to the fuel rail, the other is merely a open hose for the return of fuel to the tank.
If you can hear the pump over your pipes then you probably have a pump going bad or your hearing is just very acute.
