I cant call the kettle black and I love to have my Jack and beer chaser, but I will not get on the bike drinking or with a hangover. I've lost a few buddies that did different so I really don't want to end up like that. If you feel that you should not ride, don't. It is that simple. Ride safe.
good cool morning air on a Harley Davidson, preferably with the sun at you back instead of burning through your eyes, is the best thing I have ever experienced for a hang over.
Yep, twenty years ago a morning ride after a heavy night of drinking was a hangover cure. Nowadays I rarely get hangovers so there is nothing to cure. Would I ride if I had a hangover now? Probaby, if it was necessary, but not if it wasn't necessary.
I did it once some 30 years ago when I was in my 20s. I am sure I was legally sober cause it was at least 12 hours since my last drink and I had slept for 6-7 hours. Still felt hazy though. First red light I came to I stopped and promptly fell over. Forgot to put my feet down! Once I got it back up, with the help of a driver behind me, I turned around and went straight back home. Never rode with a hangover again, ever!
Call it coincidence I'm writing this Saturday morning
I'm curious, how many of you have not gone riding because of a hangover? There were actually weekend nights lasts summer that I intentionally didn't drink because I wanted a clear head when riding the next day.
Absolutely I do not ride with a hangover, easy for me to say because I don't drink very much.......if I do I drink it's Bud Select 55 cause it has almost no alcohol in it.....LOL. Can't drink anymore cause it makes me sick so I stopped drinking.......problem solved
this is really amazing to read...I'm in my 60's and have always either had a few or hungover when I ride...the temperance movement here is cracking me up.
