soo...my bars came in today at bout 5pm....started taking the bike apart....how did you guys get access to the clamp that hold the bar....its a 2008 Electra Glide...some guys say loosen radio bolts and slide radio back but sounds like others didnt have to do that....??? had to go meet some friends for a birthday dinner so now I'm back on it
how big are the bars? you may need to order cable and wiring extensions
Hey look a squirrel!!! I hope he already knows that...As far as the radio, it is much easier to pull it. Use a ball end socket and the bolts are pretty easy to get at...

You can flip your fairing forward, just by taking out a couple of bolts. And you wont have to take out your radio. Theres a video on youtube of some guys doing this. Can't remember the name of it though. Maybe someone else can link the video to you.
i saw them do it on the LA Chopper prime ape install video on youtube...but they didn't show how they did it...you just see the guy flipping up the fairing. yea..I have an aftermarket radio and the bolts are a real b*tch to get to..like impossible. was hoping not to mess with the radio. these bars are only 10 inch. talked to several guys who have put them on without extending anything...I did get a new plus 4 clutch cable just in case...everyone said that was only thing that the clutch cable was little too tight. said all wires were plenty long. I see the bolts on sides of inner fairing...was thinking they were ones to loosen to flip inner fairing up....I'm guessing the lighter assembly will have to come out for that?

What year was the bike on the LA Chopper's video? The 14s have a fairing that flips forward real easy. There may be a way to do it on the 13 and older bikes but I haven't seen it...
i put my radio in bout 4 years ago and I remember have a REAL hard time getting to those allen bolts that hold it in...I don't even remember how I managed to get them in...lol it didn't happen without ALOT of swearing I can tell you that
