The biggest reason for me to get them on my bike,is that the HD plugs suck, the magnets tend to fall out, an the HD ones are not 1/4 as strong as the dimple.
Fall out? Wouldn't they just stick to the bolt being a magnet and all.
From the sludge I seen on the plug on the site I think it safe to say the oil was way past due to be changed.
I have put over 100,000 miles on a couple and 60,000 on one of my HD's but never experienced any magnets coming off. Never seen any sludge on any of my bikes.
After break in I have seen nothing but normal wear on the magnets.
but I'll bet you wouldn't think twice about paying $75 for a piece of chrome that did nothing but look nice. Stronger magnets for the bolts makes more sense since it's a one time cost and is about the same as the cost of 1 oil change. IMHO, anything that helps these engines last longer is a good investment.
