but I'll bet you wouldn't think twice about paying $75 for a piece of chrome that did nothing but look nice. Stronger magnets for the bolts makes more sense since it's a one time cost and is about the same as the cost of 1 oil change. IMHO, anything that helps these engines last longer is a good investment.
I've never seen any proof that says magnets help engine longevity.
If you have big pieces of engine on your magnet, it's too late, your engine is destroyed.

of these things. If your're looking for instant proof then put one in your tranny and ride it 5000 miles. Oh sorry, that'll take too long. I've removed shavings every time I do an oil/tranny/primary change and that was with the OEM magnets. Doesn't take rocket science to understand the long term benefit, but I'm just speaking from experience.
Here's a thought... And I have never seen this product before...
I've got 7 years worth of warranty on my sled, most likely won't own it that long.
IF and to me it's a big if, IF the magnet comes out of my stock plug and cratered my engine, THAT would be a warranty issue.
BUT
IF the aftermarket magnet were to come out of the aftermarket plug and crater my engine, that would NOT be covered under warranty.
Just a thought.
I reckon I can see benefit, but I've changed the oil on a LOT of Harleys, having a nice lift a shelf full of Amsoil and a fridge full of cold beer will get your friends and Brothers together for a few Saturdays. I have NEVER seen the magnet come out of a stock plug. That is not to say it can't happen, but in my 30 years on 2 wheels, this is the first time I've ever heard of it, and the thought that it was possible never even crossed my mind.
On to the filter magnets. I can see the concept... and I'll guarantee they will work as advertised if you cut the can open.
BUT
will they NOT be holding material against the side of the filter that the media is designed to catch anyways?
That would be like a sales man going to my water supply outside the house and showing me all the crap in my water, UPstream of my $4500 4 stage filtration and softener and reverse osmosis filters.
Just sayin'
Will I spend $100 on useless trinkets for the bike?
Ohgoshyes.
Will I spend $100 on snake oil magnets for MY bike?
