SERT EFI Help!!!!
I didn't know that TTS had discontinued the upgrade. It has been in the last 4 or 5 months as got one near end of last year. I believe if I didn't have lots of experience with the old SERT that I wouldn't consider another tuner. I think they quit building them in 07. Maps will be hard to come by. the SEPST, PV, and TTS all work great and I am sure others do also just don't have first hand experience with others beside the PCV and PCIII.
Just curious.
Thanks for the info. Won't being telling folks they can upgrade anymore. TTS is very good tuner and good canned maps.
I wouldn't stick to HD on this. I would go to www.dynojet.com with this question and see if they make a tuner that will work with your configuration.

If I was looking for a reason to spend another $400-500 to replace the SERT I'd definitely look at the Power Commander line. My understanding is Dynojet makes a fine product and they have moved on from the serial port to the usb port connectors.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I also have that tuner. Just came with the bike I bought. I wanted to use it with Mytune to tune my bike but I don't have a cable to go from my tuner to my bike. Was wondering if the current cable they sell for the Street tuner and Super tuner would work.
They won't work. You need this cable kit. http://www.mastertune.net/harleydavidson.htm
The 2000006 USB to Serial adapter and 2000009 VCI to bike 4 pin for pre 14 touring.
I would call them to make sure you get the right one from VCI to bike unless sure which one. Some Dyna's and all 14's use 6 pin diagnostic plug. You can probably get the Usb to serial adapter at electronics outlet.

Folks that tune, will NOT use generic cables. Buy the TTS cables. Its way cheaper than trying to find the right drivers to talk to the ECM.
Belkin used to make a cable that worked, but they never updated the drivers. At least the TTS is a known to work solution.
Those that feel generics are the same and all cables work the same are sadly mistaken. It's actually difficult to get an out of the box cable to do duplex communications correctly.
I talk to PLCs and machines.... I still use a serial port laptop for most of that. I'm out of state, so I'm no help right now, but I just bought a cable for Win8 that actually works good our of the box from Amazon.
I've been doing this a bit... talking to aTTS product, use a TTS cable. How cheap does one have to be if they already own a bike?
For a new, blue, TTS, dealer cables work fine. Under $40 for both cables.
Toshiba still sells a serial port laptop that is NOT a "tuff" type laptop.
