What kind of helmet? (half, 3/4, full faceface) and with or without visor?

Half with a molded visor (not a button on). It is a smaller helmet. Doesn't sit up real high.

Try the same windshield, same ride but minus the helmet.

Also IMO those klock Werks stink. I had a 6.5 did nothing to cure the buffeting, the 8.5 did ok with the buffeting but looking through the recurve was like being on acid.

Had a KW 6.5 and run it a bit.
It wasn't the hype it was led on to be either.
Sold it and went with a flip top standard.
I have a 10 inch dark Aero that I got from Jim @Fastaire that I paid right @$100 for that is a bit taller than I would like that was not run for much over a couple hundred miles if that.
If you're interested PM me. I'll make ya a deal.

Don't know what to do with this info. Just tonight, went shopping with more than what would fit in the bags. Road home with an approx 12"x12"x12" package on the tank/between my legs. When I placed my arm on top of that package, my beard stayed down, and didn't move much at all. Without my arm there, beard still pushed up some, but don't think as much as normal, without a package.

I might start playing around with a tankbag.
I tried these and solved the air from below for me. With the LRS and these wind deflectors it made a big difference.

I have a pretty wide variety of shields. I switch them out depending on my type of riding. I will say the most versatile shield I have id the Harley Windsplitter. The one I use the least is the stock 12". Most of the time I either run the Windsplitter or the Street Glide shields.

If you want to control buffeting, The things I found that cures it is not the shield (trust me look how many shields I have). The combination of fairing wings, fork deflectors and the fork baffle cured it for me. I can run that 4" shield without buffeting issues.

Here is a comparison of all of my shields for you: Street Glide 4" - Stock 12" - 10.5" LRS X-Streme - 15" Memphis - 10" Clearview recurve - HD 10" Windsplitter.

I have the 6" windvest. Awesome shield. I can now ride without earplugs. Looks great too. Not much taller than stock but it covers more area and it has a flip up lip at the top. Im 5'7" and its perfect for me. Hope that helps

Well, I ended up getting the LRS 10". Installed it but have not had the chance to test it. It's still pretty nasty here. I did try the Klockwerks 8.5" from the local dealership on a day that wasn't to bad out. Hated it. I think the different shape of the LRS will work, if not, oh well, I'll hafta get used to it. Any recommendations on coffee mug holders and phone holders? (for music)
