Since I've moved to Florida and started going regularly to Bike Week and Biketoberfest at Daytona, I've tried to take advantage of having access to all the vendors and pick one mod/upgrade to do each trip. The last 2 trips up I had Custom Dynamics finish converting me to all LED lights, and had Ohlin upgrade my rear suspension. I'm trying to decide what to do this year without totally breaking the bank.
I waited to see what Ohlin was going to come up with for the front suspension since when I had them do the rear shocks it was all on the drawing board, but their option is too pricey for me, so my thought was that a set of Progressive monotubes would be my priority this year. Is this a worthwhile upgrade or is there anything else I should consider instead? I'm thinking performance rather than comfort upgrades this time around.
I would suggest that having work or buying parts at a rally is about the most expensive route.
and if the stuff sucks or breaks on the way home....you have little recourse
prices seem to go up for rallys, not down. there are no deals.
Mike
my experience has been opposite - "rally specials" with free install and free shipping of take-offs so I don't have to carry my old stuff home. Would only trust reputable vendors and do research ahead of time (and call company to find out if they will be at rally and what their rally deals are so I know if I'm getting a deal or not). and not fall for the sales pitch and fancy display.

Agreed...I've gotten some decent deals and always free installation which if I buy at home I would have to pay for, since I am not great with a wrench.
For the front...ricor intimidators, race tech or traxxion staright rate springs for your weight, amzoil shock therapy fork oil. For right around 300 bucks it will be the biggest bang for the buck
