Default 12" bars or 14" bars....and the wind.

I've settled on the style bar I'll install, but I can't decide between the 12" or 14" version. Some say 14" is too high and creates a lot of wind turbulence on the Ultra. If I can get away with 14" bars I'd like to go that route - for those with 14's, are you bothered by the wind? Do you wish you had 12's?

Nope not bothered by it at all. If your thinkin you want 14's and you go with 12's you'll never be satisfied.

Vindikta Apes 14" 1-1/2, most bar are 1-1/4 the fat 1-1/2 are sweet & easier to feed wire.

Even though mine aren't apes I run 13 inch bars with a 10 inch shield..just get some fork wind deflectors and you should be good with any size bars

A buddy went with the 12's on his Ultra and wishes he went 14's. I have 14's on my FLTR and LOVE THEM.

I have 14s on my CVO Ultra. The wind really isn't an issue. The bars are very comfortable (I am 6'). The only issue is if you ride in very cold temps for a long period of time your hands will get cold (unless you have heated grips or Gerbings). The 14's do sit well above the fairing. SJ Ron
