Tuning map thread interest?
I'm not sure what anyone else would do but I downloaded the two maps that I got from this forum to my Winpv on my desk top computer and took a look at them and compared them to what I already had before I loaded anything to my bike just to be sure.
I will say again that these are two good tunes that worked well for my bike, my bike pulls strong and is smooth. A great starting point or if you want to gain a few more horsepower, then by all means dyno your bike.

You have to understand any tune would be used at your own risk. Some like me would like to have a tune to get cranked and started with so they can like me start auto tune runs. I did get a map from dyno jet that started up and ran ok but not the best. It wasn't a perfect dynoed for me tune. That's why I call it a starter tune. Yes Jamie at fuelmoto has tunes also. I went to them first because I got the PV from them. They didn't have anything and directed me to dynajet. I did have another member kind enough to send me his tune which I used to compare and make a few changes to mine off of. It helped out a lot. I'm a big DIY guy. I love to work things out and fix it myself if possible. Gives me more pride in what I have. That's just me. Im not taking away from a dyno shops tune. It probably would be better than an auto tune. But everyone can't afford that either. I like helping others as best I can too.
The only way to construct a tune accurately is to set up the bike in a lab using a dynamometer and associated measurement gear. That's how HD creates its bank of calibrations for the engine/bike configurations listed in the SEPST. Basically, those are best starter tunes. That's because there are unique manufacturing variations that will shift results from that ideal and require further tuning. Not much is needed. But some usually helps. So for those who fit the HD calibrations and just need tweeking I doubt someone else's tune is of any value. However, if someone has added significant after market cams, pistons, intakes, cranks, etc. finding a really good starter tune would be helpful. That would at least get the bike tuned to the level of being useful. So knowing how the tune was developed would be of interest to anyone who would use it. Either way, the job of fine tuning still should be done. Some prefer seat of the pants using auto/smart tune. Some prefer dyno tuning.
