While I have been riding for years, I am new to the fairing bikes and to this forum. Forgive me if I missed the topic in pervious post, but I did not find anything pertaining to my question. I just bought a 2006 Street Glide and I was wanting to know if the fairing was adjustable? I am wanting to move it up a couple of inches but wasn't sure if that was possible, or if I just have to purchase a little taller wind screen? Thank you for your advice everyone! :-)
Welcome to the forum.
No, the fairing is not adjustable but, there are many windscreens available from tall to very short. Some are tinted and some are clear.
Get your wallet out and begin shopping, after of course, spending some time looking at other bikes to get an idea of what you may like.
Bike nights and runs are great places to view others.

Swapping out the windshield is an easy fix and relatively inexpensive compared to other things you're going to do I have a Long Ride Shield on mine and have been very happy with it.
Get an idea of the height you want by looking at others bikes or going to a dealership that's got sample windshields of different heights that you can try.
hd forem members gets a discount (I believe) , maybe another member can tell you what it is. Also, you may know that fork mounted wind deflectors are very effective at getting rid of buffeting. I have the stock windshield and no buffeting at high speeds. FYI.
Thank you guys for the quick responses. I will look into purchasing a new windshield! :-)
My local HD Dealer has test windshields from different manufactures that you can pop on your bike and go for a test ride. I would look into your locals for various sizes/types.
Longride shields are relatively inexpensive. So, you might want to get two of different heights. May use a short one around town and put the tall one on for trips.
