So, I did a search, but there were a bunch of results returned (20+ pages worth). I was stalking around eBay and found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/JW-J-W-SPEAK...5199aa&vxp=mtr
The guy said that I HAD to get that bracket. I have no idea what it's called, and I tried to search for just the bracket with no luck. I don't want to pay the extra $100 for the bracket if I don't need it, and if I do, I'd like to buy it somewhere else so I'm not paying sales tax (I'm in MD). I'm doing this on an '08 FLHX btw.
The Daymaker light has a bigger back where it plugs in, I think there is a relay in there or something that makes it bigger than the factory light. Anyway, the Daymaker wont fit in the factory mounting bracket, it needs a bigger opening if that makes sense. Just call EPC, they will help you out. The bracket is in the picture and is included if I'm not mistaken, it should come with the light, bracket and trim ring. They just need to know what year/model bike you have. You're in Baltimore MD, you should drive over to their store and pick it up. They are only like 30 minutes from B'more. Hope that helps.
Here you go, this is right off your link, its called an adapter ring and comes with the light for touring models so it should come with the light for your bike.
J.W SPEAKER LED L.E.D 7" BLACK HEADLIGHT 8700 Evolution
*THIS WILL COME WITH THE ADAPTER RING FOR HARLEY TOURING MODELS*
Yeah, I'm an idiot. I posted this, and before the first reply even came in, I found the info I needed. I should've searched for 30 more seconds and this all would've been avoided. What I was actually looking for was the name or pn for the mounting ring assembly so I wouldn't have to go through EPC. Since I live in Bmore, I was trying to avoid the sales tax (found everything on surdyke.com for a LOT cheaper, even with shipping, btw).
I think if you go to edit your first post there is an option to delete? This might just be to delete your comments, as that's all I've done in the past. It's worth a try.
Also your going to enjoy the daymaker, I just switched from a truck light ph7 and have to say that except for the price this day maker looks better (IMHO) and lights up the road better to me. The truck light was night and day over the stock and even the piaa bulb I tried but not quite as good as this daymaker seems to be.
