I bought one of the first ones out at a price that I also thought was high at the time and I have not regretted it one bit. I can park anywhere, on any surface without the bike sinking into the ground. We spend $100 on a shiny piece of chrome that has no function without blinking an eye, right???
A man after my own thinking. LIke I said earlier, I'm spenidn 26K for a bike, I want to keep it off the pavement so Instead of a rock or other such thing, I'll have a built in stop to keep it from sinking. To each his own.
Also..thanks to Brukus for giving me a retroactive discount for being on this forum. Great people to deal with.
