Default Streetglide Question

Hello to all. I'm brand new to this site and need a little advice on my 2008 Streetglide. A couple years back I put a 4 point docking kit in it and bought a detachable backrest. Now I'm looking for a detachable luggage rack. The ones I see in catalogs for an 08 don't look right, however the ones for 2009 and up look like they would fit in the docking points. Does anyone know if it will fit? I'm thinking the docking points were intended to make the newer ones fit but I'm not sure. Thanks for any help anyone has.
Jim

I bought the luggage rack that attached to my back rest upright, not the docking hardware.

Go to HD's web-site and plug in your year/model bike, THEN do a search for luggage racks. The site will return those parts that will work on a 2008 FLHX.

JK, the frame changed in 2009, most notably a wider rear section, so the 2009+ bikes have a different line of accessories.

you would want parts for the 2008 and earlier frame.

when looking at HD parts, if there are 2 digits after a hypen as a suffix; that denotes the year the part was introduced and usually gives an idea of fit.

I know that 08 was somewhat of an odd year for the streetglide. Many parts are specific to 08. I would definitely check with the dealer to make sure of fitment.
