When I put my Fuel Moto air cleaner on I was expecting some increase in intake noise but I really don't like the chuffing sound conflicting with the nice sound coming from the exhaust. I put the stock football cover on and it sounds much ,much better. I am wondering because it is now drawing warmer air from the motor it will affect the performance in any noticeable way, probably not. I prefer the look of the FM AC except for the wires that are now exposed from from the throttle servo. I don't really care for the looks of the football cover but it sounds a lot better, has anyone been bothered by eccesive intake noise from open stage one intakes , and come up wih a better looking solution?
I am hoping that when I de-cat the head pipe that the exhaust be a little louder so I will
not hear the small amount intake honk that is present now. I do want to keep the stock
air box on the Bike, and the Bike is stock now. The only things I've changed so far has
been for comfort, or safety.
only really hear it when I'm getting on it,or I should say it only bothers me when I,m on it. That's when I'm wanting to hear that clean deep bark from the pipes, so it looks like I'll be running the football over the FM a/c for now
