As others have already said, you will find many opinions on this. Good luck with your search!
I'd also recommend the Frogg Toggs. I have a generic set that Costco sold about a decade ago. They are always in my saddle bag and they do a great job....have held up very well!

Consider looking at these for ideas, some people look at packing size, materials, price etc... remember that a hood is nice to keep rain from going down your back and if touring it is also nice to be able to get off the bike when you remove helmet and go sight see or walk a trail.

put them back in the stuff sack and they are about the size of a three pound coffee can and can still be packed around and made a bit smaller.

We're using the Tour Master Sentinel jackets and pants and bought them from jafrum.com. They seal up good and there's an under helmet hood to keep the water off your back. The jackets roll up into a self contained pocket on the back and the pants have small bags. 2 jackets, 2 pants, and boot covers take up about 1/2 saddle bag when rolled up tight.

I've said it on a few similar threads... my advice is to head down to your local workwear store (we have work warehouse...) and pick up a set of raingear... I have pants and a jacket that I got for like $50 together and they are tough as nails and keep me completely dry even in prolonged heavy downpours. And believe me, living and riding all year round in Vancouver - I know rain. Stuff is made for construction work so its durable, waterproof and even has reflective piping... Waaay cheaper than anything Harley makes and works perfect. Dry is Dry. Packs up pretty small too if you fold and roll it.

I actually purchased my rain gear from http://www.motorcyclehouse.com/motorcycle-rain-gear.htm
They have a pretty good selection, check em out. Prices are really decent too.

First - don't buy cheap or you'll be buying twice.

This. I have a tourmaster suit that is very nice but the HD suit is nicer.

If you are touring, don't pack them - strap them onto your luggage with a web bungee. Easier to get to them when you need them and they won't take up precious cargo space. Besides when they are soaking wet and the sun is shining, you will need a place to put them so you can continue on and the web bungee is a great place to let them dry out without getting your stuff dirty.
