I put 2 oz in my front wheel. Made absolutely no difference. I was thinking about adding another two, but I may take the beads out and try 8 oz of Ride On. Putting beads in an Agitator wheel is a pain in the a**. The valve stem does not allow for beads to flow through. You have to break the bead off the rim and pour the beads in.
Only bummer about the Ride On is the manual states there may be vibration for the first 10 miles. I guess the stuff settles when parked. Beads don't do that...
Take the valve stem out, put the beads in the bottle with a clear tube attached to the valve stem, put the stem at about 9 or 3 oclock and then place an engraver on the stem pressing on it with your finger and depending on the position and the adjustment on the engraver you will watch the beads disappear. You might need to mess with it a little, but when you get it right it works great.

Can't be done. The orifice at the bottom of the chromed steel valve stem is too small for the beads to pass through. I could remove the whole thing after dismounting the tire, but I'm not going through all that effort...
Well since there are several riders with the front wheel problem, can you guys go see how much weight is use to balance your wheel then post it here. I have read that if the beads don't work, it's because the wheel needs more weight than the beads provided. But you guys might be blowing that theory out of the water.
Beary
After I removed the dynabeads from my front tire, it was perfectly balanced using 1/2 oz weight only.
For the guys that mentioned the lubricant getting inside and the beads sticking to it, this was not the case with my wheel. I thought it might be so we took the tire back off. All beads were free flowing with no lube inside tire. Again, I think the dimples in the rim are the cause.
Well this is interesting for me. I sold my wire rims because I found a set of HD 9 spoke chrome take offs and had them balanced with Dyna beads, I didnt want stick on weights hanging on nice new chrome rims. I guess when the snow finallt melts around here I'll be able to see what happens.

Whats this gel stuff? Never heard of it...
mps
Ride On Tire Sealant...google will help you find the website. it balances and provides puncture resistance. i have never used it but i am interested in it.

On the 10+ tires I've used Ride On in not one has ever wobbled so it's not a concern, trust me.
As I've posted on here a few times before ,Ride on Tire sealant is great. Just put a new tire on my SG today . poured 10oz of Ride on in , no wheel weights on the rim at all. Jumped on my bike and took a twenty mile ride. Had it up to 90mph for a few minutes on the expressway and not once throughout the entire ride did I feel any vibration at all. Was smooth as glass. I've been using it for years , the stuff works as advertised. If Eagle Rider motorcycle rentals puts it in all their rental bikes (they must have hundreds of them) it must work as it does for me

Same here. Perfectly smooth from the time I put it in. Great product
Now that i hear about others experiencing the same issue, I have a theory as to why they are not effective in the front,
My stock front rim has a series of dimples in the rim. These dimples are manufactures in (not damage). I think some of the beads get caught in these dimples and therefore cannot flow free to balance the tire. Not sure about this but I am sure they did not work and were installed correctly.
charlie im not sure..I really just dont think they work at higher speeds. If i keep her below 70 i would have no complaints, i loved having no weights on my chrome wheels, but i ride over 70 alot (commute on i95 to work here in the northeast) and it was unbearable. Ive talked to many people, i have no scientific data to back it up, but i just dont think they work well at higher speeds.

That was my experience too...anything over 70 and I'd get vibration and I have no tolerance for unbalanced wheels, bike or car. From what I hear from others, most have no issues with the beads which is why I think the stock wheel design has something to do with it. At any rate, I am moving on...got the wheel balanced with a 1/2 oz weight and will switch to ride on at some point.
