Anyone use them to balance their tires dynamically? I am due for a rear tire change on my RGC , was thinking about just using them rather than going to Harley.
I was told not to use these if you have a tube tyre
Why?
What I was told by someone who changes tyres, is he finds high amounts of rubber dust in the tyre which is coming from the tube. So he says that it has a potential after a while of wearing the tube down until it pops
I just tried Dyna Beads in a new front tire and also put them in the existing rear tire. It did not work in the front tire but they are working well in the rear. With the beads in the new front tire I had high speed vibration with both 1 oz and 2 oz of beads used. Ended up putting weights on front. Now smooth as glass up to 105MPH. I do not like the weights so at some point, next service maybe, I will put the Ride on gel in both tires.
FYI - 2012 FLHTK. American Elite Tires front and rear. Stock rims.

For whatever reason, I've had the same experience. They definitely worked in the rear, but were ineffective in the front. When I install my flush mount axle up front I'm going to take them out and try the gel.

same here...front i would start to get a vibration around 70 on up, and gets worse with higher speed. rear seemed ok. Went back to external lead weights and good to go.. Stick with old school !!
Am having same problem with 2010 Limited. Front tire out of balance with dynabeads. Starts around 75 and gets worse the faster you go. I thought it was worn out rear tire, but put new one on and still same vibration.
