Is it better to do the front mount too or is it ok to do just the swingarm bushings?
If you are replacing your rear mounts it makes sense to replace the front as well, especially if you have a decent mileage on your bike. Note that there are many 'stabilizer' kits out there seeking to part you from your money and that they are not all equal!
I didn't just slap it on and pull it off. I went through the "procedure", called for assistance, went through it several more times, with the lower recommended torque for the install, even made a custom stepped alignment tool to ensure the bolt was perfectly centered and not "binding", it was done beyond correctly, and I rode it for a while to give it a chance. My guess is few people have used both products on the same bike like myself, we only know what we know, I know both, I prefer the Sta-Bo.
Both Glide pro and Sta-bo try to push the frame a part in the rear.. You need a stabilizer that tries to keep the frame rails together..
Yeah, Vibes can be an issue with both systems too.
Install the Glide Pro set up and you will be fixing the root cause of the problem and not need any band aid brace.
I installed several on mine and buddies bikes and actually have the newest setup on the bench for my current bike. You will notice a very positive difference when you pull out the driveway.
Well the Bagger Brace definitely makes the bike handle better. I may put Sta Bo bushings on my bike but the Bagger Brace will stay. The bike is just much more planted with the fourth motor mount added.
'Have the GlidePro on both the '05 SEEG & '09 SERG. One of the best mods that I have made to either bike, less vibration on either bike, the harmonics of the GlidePros are dialed in. I was sure that the GlidePros would be an improvement on the older frame (now, no more new frame envy!) but I was surprised at the improvement on the '09 (new frame). Also the firmer bushings seem to have taken some of the scalloping out of the rear tire('09)
I would install the front(s) at the same time as the rear. To me, the mounts are the same as suspension; For optimal results, the front should play well with the rear.
'Have ridden bikes with the add on stabilizer(s) and really didn't care for them...
JMHO, your results may vary...
