The S&S Power Tune Dual headers that were in said box are all mounted and look/sound pretty damn good.
I had already done a 95" kit, .203 cams, headwork, intake and V&H 'Hi-Output' mufflers. So the headers were the last piece I wanted to install.
Needed to modify one of the brackets to accommodate the ride stabilizer that it have, but that was pretty straightforward.
It's all overcast & kinda chilly here in StL, MO...so I'm not doing any miles tonight...but a couple of quick rides up the street put a smile on my face. The difference in tone over the stock headers is significant. I think it's a little bit louder, but not obnoxious. The real improvement is in the 'growl'. It's a lot deeper sound than before. I would compare it to the sound of CFR's with 'true duals'...but not as loud.
I'm pleased.
Will give an update on performance (if anyone is interested) when the weather improves.
Looks Good!!
Quick question. Were new exhaust gaskets included with the S&S?
I ordered a set and thought I read they were but I'm going to the dealer today so a quick answer is appreciated?
Thanks..
