Default What would you do?

Just got my cycle(03 flhtci, 37k miles) out of winter storage. New battery, camchest rebuild, and new fuel lines for fuel pump. All of these items were covered under the extended warranty for a $50 deductible. Started bike up and there is a loud clatter for a few seconds, then goes away. Fuel pump is now constantly running, and noisier than ever! I'm thinking bad lifter, and leaking "new" fuel line. All work was done at a dealer. Looking for advice as to how to handle this with my local dealer. Thanks in advance

Yes you diffidently need to bring it back and have them make it right. Any good dealer will honor their work. I believe in being nice the first time around, if that does not work all he** will break loose.

If it is going in for the fuel pump, they can listen to and give an opinion about the clatter at start up. My opinion, not having been there to hear it, is that a clattering lifter after MONTHS of storage is not unusual. If it happens with every start, that is different and may indeed be a problem.

The clatter is on every start after a couple of hours. Fuel pump is always. Problem is that my warranty ran out at the end of December. I guess I'll have to rely on the dealer for good will on their work.

ask them to leave the new guy on the tires and have an actual tech do the work this time.
