I know... First post, redundant cable question. Off to a great start.
Just mocked up some Wild1 14's on the King, and while they fit great, I can easily see myself going with 16's... eventually.
The question, Has anyone purchased 16 length cables for 14 apes, and been happy with the result? I could probably get away with +10 throttle, idle, and brake (easy enough to tuck a little excess into the nacelle) but I question what to do about the clutch cable.
+8, and hope for the best if/when I upgrade?
Given the price of cables, I'm hoping for a "one and done" situation, with the option of going taller.
I put a set of 16" kst customs on a RK last summer did +10 on everything but could of used +8 clutch and +12 wiring extensions
This was my experience. I can't remember how long the brake and throttle/idle cables were, but I did the +8 clutch cable on the 14" Wild Ones and have plenty to do 16" if I wanted to.

I'm adding 16s to my RKC and I wanted to be sure that the brake should be +8 also. Thanks
+1 , i did same thing thought about 12's , 14's but ended up going with the 16" RSD king apes ..Love them , just got my cables in this week. about to install them...Went with the LA choppers 15-17" kit , looks really nice but dont come with the wire extensions, which for me didnt matter because i have a RK police anyhow and nobody makes a kit that i know of...
