Take the fairing off?? Just take one screw out of the bottom of the headlight ring,take ring off,and remove 3 retainer screws from retainer ring. [assuming you have a batwing fairing ?]

Inspect the bulb connector and smear a little dielectric grease in the connector while you have it apart. It helps allot with future removal.

Tonight I checked the connector and it looks brand new. No signs of heat or smells of burnt wires. The bulb was blown on low and high beam. It was a Osram Bilux 60/55 installed in a Hella E code H4. Im not sure why the low beam blew and then when I flipped it to high it blew right away. IMO if its possiable, the low beam fillament might have landed across the high beam and caused it to short when I flipped it on.
I doubt this had anything to do with it, but when I tried to start it this morning before it blew, the security did not detect my fob in my pocket and I attempted to start it . I noticed the flashers begin flashing so I turned the ign off grabbed my other fob and tried it again. When I turned it on to try to start it ,the low beam never came on, it was blown .
I installed a Silverstar Ultimate for now until I get time to order another one.
