Default Handlebar Riser Insert mod? - Road King

This area of the bike has always bothered me on my Road King.

Has anyone found a good replacement insert for this plastic piece?

If not, I might machine an aluminum insert and have it engraved/etched with Road King like the 2014s

Looking for any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks!

Will an earlier piece fit on? My 04 RK doesn't have that depression, it's just smooth across the whole surface. If it would fit, that could be a solution.

I didn't have that issue with the '07, but put a street slammer cover and 5" risers on after raising the tank 3". I needed the rise to keep the bars from hitting the tank.

Mine's an '05 RKC and mine looks like this one. Not sure why it wouldn't fit yours. I dig the smooth look too.

Wow, that looks much, much better. Wonder if it would fit a 2013

Replace it if you want but if you do, you have to take the nacelle apart to adjust the bars...that's what it's there for.

Not only that, but I put the smooth lock cover over the lock so it's really clean and sano looking and keeps dirt and dust out of the fork lock.
