DA "SHARK" Showdown!
When I was looking for a FX shovel I couldn't believe the bike that I found. A 80 FLT with a rubber mounted Shovel and a frame mounted fairing that is similar to the 2nd generation Road Glide fairing.
It was made in 80 and 81 under AMF. When the new folks took over they did not build it. When I took it home I parked it between the 12 and 16 RG CVO's right where it belonged.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
This was before I made it more comfortable, with Yaffe Monkey bars.
These are 14" Yaffe Monkey bars.

This is my 15 CVO RGU and my wife's 15 Road Glide special
Pre-accident but about 8 years old with some minor modifications. The intent was to leave her stock, that didn't work out as planned. Tour pak on and getting ready to leave for Nashville:
Post accident in the basement over the winter. Not a bad accident, buddy rear ended my saddle bag which then exploded, in North Carolina. He insisted on going thru his insurance, they gave me enough money to paint the entire bike (my labor). While I was there, 1" drop in suspension front and rear and ape hangers. Figured best time to do the bars was when it was all apart:
When she first emerged with her new paint:
And how she sits today with black spokes, Jet Coat exhaust, lid speakers and some motor work after 50k miles, which you can't see:
Since then daymakers, audio work, different windshield (14" from Klock Werks, best I have ever had on the bike) and another 22k miles. She is 4 states away from being ridden in all 48 lower states, a real road burner.
