Using the Bug and Tar remover with the "turtle" on it...is it just me or have they changed the formula in that stuff over the years?
I recall about 10 years or so ago it would get the tar specs right off the chrome; almost instantly-not anymore-at least not for me. It does not seem to work at all on the tar, and barely gets the dried bugs off the front fairing.
As already noted, WD-40 works really great. Just remember to clean up the residue from the WD-40. Perfect solution for some of my local roads where they spray oil and throw down some gravel, and call it 'repaving'.
