thanks. a little nervous because it way different than what the installer put on it. I'm new to this mapping thing. Installer put on 15-027-194 even though thats not what i really have they (installer and dynajet) said it was the closest?????
Also i noticed that your map says 6th gear and mine only has 5???
Anyone have any thoughts??
I could use a "PC-v mapping for dummies" book.
do yourself a favor..take it to a good dynotuner...you leave too much on the table with canned maps. Flash tuning has come a long way but needs the next level to be plug and play. It will be the best 300$ you ever spent..
Installed and rode for about 30 minutes last night. Truly amazing.
Looked like the original installer did not load the map he said he did.
Only thing i noticed was that after the bike was good and warmed up I go an occasional hiccup. Sound and felt just like my old softails carb backfire. It only happened twice at 2000 - 2500, second gear.
Think it might be the fuel though, as last fillup i went to hot spot for premium instead of BP.
Read something about engine running hotter if map is off????

Thank you for all your advise.
Not uncommon for this to happen with true duals or 2 in 1. I made some slight changes to the fuel and timing in this area.
The map can definitely cause to run hot if too lean particularly in the cruise area and around 2000 where we ride in town. Will also run hotter with excessively slow timing. If too rich the mileage will suffer and bike will be soft in those areas. This is common with performance cams from 2000 to 3000 area to be mushy if too rich. Too rich below 2000 will give loping and jerking while going slow as in subdivision or parking lot. Run cool, but not very much fun.
Bought my PC-V from a forum member. Tried a couple of the maps on the website and bike was running hot. Emailed Tech Support at their website and explained my setup. Got a map emailed to me in less than 24 hours and it works great.
Installed the adj map and it runs much better in the mid range
Thank you so much for all your help.
I am going to take a look at the two maps from you and see if i can learn and perhaps adjust the low (1000-2000 rpm range)
Someday when i get some cash together i might have it dyno tuned. Only place around here that does it that i know of is HD of Asheville.
Give me some details as to what it is doing in low and idle area. If it is idling pretty fast it is too lean. If loping excessively and blowing black when blipping the throttle at idle or/and flat or loping off idle below 2000 too rich. If popping or jumping and hesitating too lean. I can fix the map and return to you. I think you want to learn how to do it your self. You will be able to see the differences that make what changes. If still problem in other areas let me know that also.
Idle is great and so it everything from 2000 on up thanks to you.
Unfortunately I have been doing mostly runs that do not alow me to stay above 2000 for more than a few minutes. So its the hesitation, jumping, in the 1000-2000 rpm area.
Barely have time to ride so learning to map is not first on my list, but dont want to be a burden to you.
If you ever need any blacksmith tools or forged hardware let me know. Thats what i can offer in return.

From your description the low end could either be too rich which is likely or it could be lean. I did two maps of course one leaner and one richer. The one marked leaner would be my guess. You will know real soon after installing it. If it starts popping it was the wrong way. Put the richer one in. I am not real familiar with the Andrews 37 and they have some different timing numbers. 105 center line on the intake which is common on the andrews and S&S not all but some. They would probably work much better with 10+ compression. I didn't go back and read all the posts. If you have an air leak in the intake can do the same exact problem. Check and make sure the vacuum cap is on the nipple on top of the throttle body. It is directly behind the air cleaner about 3 inches and 1/4 inch in diameter and about 1/2" tall. It likely is in place but I have seen several that weren't.
If have road my bike about 3 times since installing the leaner low map and think that is nearly perfect. I doubt i could do any better by having the bike dyno'd.
