Your touring rig is looking real good!

I do like your painted heat deflectors better then stock plastic black on your bike, looks great.

Kinda crazy how your bikes shadow looks like a bat not a SHARK!

(Just kidding of course.)

There's a set for sale in the classifieds. I'd have to paint them if that was the route I was going to go.

herontheshadows...if your bike is a '10('09 california) or newer, it has a catalytic converter that is causing lots of the heat. the EPA requirements also makes it come from the factory with very lean air/fuel ratio and that also adds heat to the motor. address the converter and lean running conditions, and add the deflectors for a comfortable ride. your bike also has a heat management system that shuts down the rear cylinder when hot at idle to help lower engine heat...is yours activated? taking care of the heat issues with the motor and adding deflectors should keep you fairly comfortable--everyone does have a different heat tolerance level.

the cpt is a good way to go....reasonable cost too. I have the HD deflectors that came on the bike but put the crotch coolers right over the top of them. work for me.....give them a look. good folks, quick service too.

You need to recheck your signature ... I don't see it in your postings.

Also be aware that a lot of us use smart phones to access the forum. Signatures don't show up at all with them.

I had a set of the HD ones on my 2013 FLHTC, and they made big difference in stop and go traffic. I am getting ready to put a set on my new bike.
