I installed the 10" Windsplitter on my '14 SG. It was lightly tinted. It worked pretty good for cutting the buffeting, better than the 7.5" Windsplitter…but I didn't like the look. It was a little too tall and I liked the darker smoke of the 7.5".
I cut one inch off the top and painted it black versus trying to tint it (DupliColor Bumper Coating, because it flexes a bit). It works fine, I can see over it (I'm 5' 11"). I also put a strip of door edge-molding over the cut. I suppose you could tint the shield if you prefer. And if you do this, I recommend getting someone to cut it with a glass cutter (versus my method of a Dremel).
Of course if you buy what you want/need in the first place you'll save yourself some time. I know LRS makes a 9", and probably others. But I was already committed to the 10" so decided to try to make it suit me.
