Any recommendations for a simple gps to sit
on the handle bars of a 09 RK and can be
moved into a car when needed?

I need to plug into a Quadzilla fairing too
and a cigarette lighter in the car.

 

Mine is a Garmin 40 $96.00 and a Ram mount $6.95 and plugs into cig lighter.

 

Garmin and RAM mount. Ram makes a water proof aqua box you can still use the touch screen with. Re manufactured (new with full warranty, but returned to distributor for repackaging or warranty repair) units are a bargain if you search online. Install a USB power outlet on your bike. Lots of cheap choices from ebay.

the swing arm
and the cradle?

Then order a Gamin that fits

 

Do a search on Ram mount that fits your Garmin. The mount should have everything you need, U bolt for handlebars, swing arm, and mount to attach to a cradle. The Garmin may come with a cradle, mine did.
