06 road king tachometer
I am trying to install a Tachometer on my road king. The tach is from a road king police and mine is not a police model. I have looked all over my bike for the connections and have not been able to find them. If anybody can lead me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated.

My investigations into adding a RK Police tach to my 06 RK Peace Officer SE is that the only way is to pick up tach signal from the speedometer or at the ECM connector, running a wire up to the headlight assy, doent sound like fun but is the only way, and yes I have the parts manual with wire diagram and service manual that show the wireing.

Iwant to do the same thing. I have the tach/housing from my last bike (Superglide) which is what the police model uses. Have you figured it out yet? Is there a place that posts the MOCO instructions for adding a tach to a Road King? Maybe my dealer will let me copy the directions from the kit. Sounds like we have to run wire back to the left access panel and look for the pink wire.............?
