Default Charging Problem?

I checked the voltage regulator by the manual and the way I am checking it, it test bad. Ground on battery and check to see of there is voltage at stator plug and there is. Manual says this is bad regulator. Is there another way to check it? Thanks, Tim

By the way, Fully Charged battery and no DTC's, no Check engine light but volt gauge not charging!!

do your checks for voltage AT the battery, do not rely on the in dash meter.

you should see about 14 volts or so with the motor reving at 3000 rpms por so.

Use a proper multimeter! There are a couple of Stickies in the Tech Electrical section that should help you check.
