Not to sound like its not the battery but a bad battery on a 07 ? I came out one day and mine wouldn't start either and after checking found out they didn't tighten the ground cable to the block under the starter. Was a pain to get to but tightened it up and away she went.

When placing my backrest back in, I get a strip of velcro, squeeze the bars together, wrap the velcro around the bars to hold the bars together, slip the backrest into the bracket, release the velcro and your done. Sure beats trying to squeeze with one hand, separate the seat with the other and getting it to all slide in.
