just my .02 here Stash, but I'd say get used to the rude people here and elsewhere.
I've drawn my fair share of criticsm here.
This really isn't a bikers board.
More of a wannabes.
Seen what appears to me, a lot of stupid questions posted here. But to some one else
they are legitimate in their eyes. so why belittle them for it.
Joke with them about it sure,.........but be sure they know you are joking.
But a lot seem to think they know all the answers and don't feel the need to learn anything new.
Those are the ignorant a$$es.
The really good and true biker friends I've had experience with don't belittle you for
asking a question you're serious about when it comes to learning about something.
to bad it's that way

Like the HD pump - cheap enough and works. Get a thicker skin - it ain't worth being a puppet and having others pull your strings...
It's lost on many people - but guys tease people they LIKE. If they didn't - they wouldn't answer or just say F.O. ...
I spend every Sun. at a biker bar and the people are just brutal teasing each other - but only people they know and like...

Stash...don't let the keyboard commandos get to ya. You're correct...thick skin is necessary. Ya ought to check out the Corvette forum...[sm=bicker.gif]

BTW... I gave mine away. I ride solo, and at 5'-8" (in boots) [sm=smiley36.gif]and 150 lbs (wet)[sm=smiley36.gif], I ride without any air in the shocks...1st thing I'll do when I get my new bike home is let out any air.

Don't Call Marines Soldiers. The Army has Soldiers! The Navy has Marines. If you don't believe me look at their ID Card!

Good advice...mtn bike pumps will work fine.

Peace,

ORIGINAL: skratch

i don't know what happened, nor do i care, but i have seen a pump for a mountain bike that looks exactly like the hd pump but was about 10 bucks cheaper. same specs, same anti-leak valve, etc.....

i don't remember where it was, but if you were to take a few minutes searching some mountain bike sites, you might find it. maybe not, but it won't cost you anything to look.

i would look, but i have progressive 440s so i don't need it.
