My taxes finally came in!!! I'm looking at getting a windshield for my 05 road king custom. My question to you fine gentlemen and ladies is do you recommend the 14in or 11in smoked shield?I'm 5'10" on a good day, and am just looking to get the wind off my chest on longer runs, had shoulder surgery a couple years ago and holding myself up in the wind for long periods is no fun. I know this is a loaded question and the answer will most likely be try it and see what fits. Just looking for some in put from those of similar stature and ride on what your thoughts are. Thank you for your time.
Consider this... Get the 14" and if it's too tall cut it to the exact size you like.
I have a 20" that i cut down to 17-1/4. Another 20" for cooler weather and or seat change, (I may cut it down to 18+), and a 22" on its way for my high riding police seat.
If your not sure how to cut em down... youtube it, searches real easy DIY.
