Default First rides with new cams

Hey fellas, I have taken a few short rides of maybe of 80 mi or so with my new set up. I have added fuel moto headpipe , Roland sands air cleaner, Vance and Hines mufflers, Andrews 48 cams & a dyno tune. It runs great, the tach jumps to 3K immediately when I throttle up, the only thing I noticed is the heat off the back head. I was hoping the heat would drop the the cat gone. Is that a normal thing with upgraded cams or just my imagination? Thanks for reading. Jim

More power can mean more heat.

Might want to talk to your tuner about it.

You'll get used to the "more power" and will eventually want more.

If rear head is noticeably different in heat I would have the tune map checked. Needs richening up.

Get it on a dyno and tuned? or canned tune? If canned... thats your problem.

Whats your setup (what kinda bike/etc...)

I have a road glide ultra, it was dyno tuned when the work was done. The heat seems to be held by the under seat heat shields, wondering if taking those off will help or hurt.
