Hello to all the fine bikers out there. First time on here. I have a 2008 Electra glide and want to lower my butt by 2" from the stock couch. I like the looks of the solo seat but I am open to any suggestions. I ride mostly without the tour pack but want the leaner look. Right now I have the stock seat on there without the pack and all you can see is the seat. It overwhelms the bike. I have looked at c&c, mustang, saddle man, Danny gray, pretty much am confused now. I would like the feel of being in the bike not on it anymore with a pocket for the butt. Thank you

 

the 08 is kind of a one year only seat.

you can contact mean city cycles, alot of guys here like their custom seats.

or look locally for a used FLHX seat.

an 09+ type seat has the same mount at the tank as the 08 but most will not fit your frame

A friend with a 'o8 glide bought a corbin hollywood solo. he did buy a separate pillion for his wife whom does not tour much.
I can't vouch for it, but something to check out.

 

A lot buck option without spending for a custom made seat would be either a Street Glide stock seat, or a Sundowner seat. Not positive either of them will get you 2" lower, but an inch or better for sure.
