Ok... so contrary to my username, I have recently upgraded to a '09 Street Glide.
So far, I'm loving it.
I'm looking for some seat recommendations however. I had a solo seat on my softail, and I plan on either going that route again, or getting a seat with a low profile 2-up seat.
I would like a seat that puts me back about 1"-2" from stock if possible. I have long legs and arms, and I think it will make me a bit more comfortable in the long run.
My last solo was a corbin, and I did like the firmer feel of those seats.
At this point, I'm open to any suggestions. I will be spending my first long day in the stock saddle this weekend, but already I can tell it will be tough...
I personally like C&C seats. I like solo seats as well but instead of needing to move back I have to be moved forward. C&C was nice enough to make my seat to the measurements that I gave them, shipped it to me as a foam seat with no cover, let me make more changes, applied the changes and then sent me my new covered seat within a week. Their website is ccseats.com. Check them out!!
I had my stock seat modified by Mean City Cycles. I haven't had a more comfortable seat on a bike. He can move you back, forward, up, down, whatever you'd like. His work is also a good bit cheaper than buyin' a new seat.
Harley also makes a Tall Man Seat that sets you back about 2" and down 1 inch. It also has a much lower profile. I have one and find it very comfortable.
