Default Compensator cause vibration issues?

Tried the search function and got lots of results but no answer.

Anyways my 6000 mile 12 Street Glide has a strange vibration under power. I can pull in the clutch and the bike is smooth. The rear tire has some pretty good cupping so I ordered a new one but I don't think that is it. Sadly it only has about 6000 miles so I'm a little disappointed in the tire wear.

I have recently switched the primary oil (Formula +) about 600 miles ago.
I have checked the exhaust front to back and it is not touching the frame.

It has quite a bit of drivetrain clunk and does the thump thump pretty hard at shut down. It Hard starts but is not banging.

So any other suggestions? Is the Compensator failing at 6000 miles? If it is could this be the source of vibrations? Do I need to Change the primary oil to see if that helps? Could it be from the back tire?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

mine failed at 5000 miles on a 2012 ultra, sounded like the drive belt slipping over a cog,and a vibration will taking off in 1rst gear.

Very possible, my first one went out at 10,000 the second at 15,000. They were both replaced with OEM. When the second one went out a short time latter, I raised so much hell, they replaced it with the SE version. And of course they installed it wrong, not sure if it was on purpose or not. I bought and replaced the 4th myself, no probs for 56,000 miles so far and counting.

if your rear is cupping then be sure to keep an eye on your tire pressures.
