I had a problem with the stock mirrors and my shoulders I could not see around them. I bought the Mirror risers from HD for about $24.00, a lot cheaper than changing everything out. I like those new mirrors but I think Hogtunes are my next investment.

I your bike has been lowered or you ride a RK Custom the mirrors can't adjust high enough to see. They are useless on a low ride.

Have 'em on my 05 RK.

Work great.

If the ride was lowered evenly, it should still be level or am i missing something.

Can you rotate the lever mounts enough to see better?

ORIGINAL: ultraultra

I put them on the wife's Deluxe. I bought them to be able to see in the blind spot... you know.. that area at the end of the rear fender, and 5 feet to each side. It doesn't cover that area at all. The convex mirror is at the wrong angle, IMO. It's canted in toward the rider, not in the same plane as the flat mirror, nor turned out for better blind spot vision. I WON'T install them on my Ultra.
Yep, they cover a small amount of the blind spot, but not enough for me.
I was thinking of trying to "pop" the convex mirror out and reinstall it so that it's angled out more.
Not sure how to do this though without busting the mirror itself.

I purchased a set this weekend ($107.00). I like 'em better than stock, but as a few others wrote, I too was dissappointed that they didn't show more of the areas to the immediate right and left of the bike's rear. I'm thinking about buying a couple of those little round convex mirrors and stick 'em on. I have to consider it they'll look "stupid" stuck on there. Has any one else already tried it?

I like 'em. Have not bought them yet. I have a rk custom and have trouble seeing with the stock mirrors. Maybe because of my height. Had to adjust the mounts to see out of them. Tried some cool spade mirrors, but looked out of place to me not on a chopper. And the viewing surface was so little, I wondered why even have mirrors.I am adding 18" apes in the next couple of weeks, once the cables are made. At the height of those bars, they should work well. But I am considering running my mirrors upside down, and the script on the split view would be upside down, so once the bars are on, I will decide the route to take.

So many accesories... so little money!

Sounds great... I've got Kuryakyn and love em. Way better over stock but I used long stems with the small head.

I installed the "Live to Ride" mirrors with the 3" lift extensions when I bought my bike. At first I liked them but soon discovered the blind spots around the sides of my bike. I then went to my Advance Auto Parts Store and purchased a set of those 2" round convex mirrors and installed them. They worked fine for a while but they weren't adjustable so I took a heat gun to soften up the tape and removed them. I then went back to AAP's and picked up a set of the 2" ADJUSTABLE convex mirrors and installed them. Upon adjusting them to my liking I couldn't be more happy. They eliminate the blind spots on both sides of my scoot and have actually saved my butt a couple times when cages have snuck up along side of me and I hadn't noticed...

I've attached a couple pictures so see for yourself.

As for looks, I don't think they look bad and I don't give a damn what other people think, so there!!!
