That would seem logical that they are too tight but backing off any and the bolt can be turned with your finger. I am thinking it is something to do with placement of the lil flat washer kind of thing. ??????

That wave washer belongs between the slot in the bracket and the protrusion on the peg. It should be a tight fit going in but will loosen up once installed. Also don't overtighten the cap screw. Put some locktite on it and screw it in until it's just snug. Put a few drops of oil between the peg and the bracket (in the clevis/slot). Work 'em back and forth and you're good to go. Don't leave out the locktite or you'll lose the footpeg.

Sound like that is what i am missing. I will have to try again tomorrow. Gymnastic of a grand daughter in a few mins. Does it make a difference which way i have the square end of the wave washer????

Thanks

Flat side to inside.

Actually, I just went out and checked mine and the flat side is down, when the peg is extended. I don't think it really matters.
