Can you recharge a SE air filter as you would a K & N ?

It looks like the K&N filters I've run on previous bikes, but
dealer says it's not serviceable. If that's true,then can I
buy a K&N replcement filter for the HD SE air kit?

 

The newer ones you CANNOT clean and re-oil. It should be stamped somewhere on it. The newer ones are a paper filter element. Replace that with a K&N replacement for the SE filter.

You can replace your nonserviceable paper SE filter element with a K&N element. K&N's part number for your application is HD0800 if you have the standard SE Air filter kit upgrade, and it runs about 30 to 45.00 depending on where you get it.
