I posted this in the audio forum, but they don't get much activity there.
I got my Satellite kit from Kutter HD yesterday and installed it on my 14 limited. It was already activated with all the channels and weather, traffic and fuel prices. I was all set to call to try to get my 3 months free, but my question is could it be already activated after it connected to xm?
My guess is maybe they have a database of the RID already and it activates automatically when it connects.
No, no automatic connection to sat radio where you get all the channels. Could have possibly been a returned item I suppose, that someone had activated already.

That was my first thought, but it comes in an antistatic bag like a PC part that is hermetically sealed. You have to tear it open at the seal to get at it. I could not have been opened. Even the box (Which it was shipped in the HD factor box) was not resealed in anyway. It was on backorder from HD so I even had to wait a week for HD to get them in.
Another thing to note, is that it only had the preview channel last night and this morning it was all there so it definitely was not returned.

Saw a commercial last nite that all Sirius / xm radios have been reactivated for a short period. A "come back to satellite" program. Believe it goes thru June 7th, though not sure.
