Lots of talk about their products on the boards. I'm eyeballing a lot of their stuff. Prices seem to be well below the average and based on a lot of reviews I think there usually is more up side with them than down... Can we get this thread going with with folks chiming in on what they have bought from them and your overall experience with the product.. Fit/Finish etc.. It stands to reason to assume the quality of products would be lesser than HD's obviously because of the price difference. I get that sure, but are they that much less inferior?
Im looking at their lower fairings with speaker pods, the razor tour pack, and possibly some hard bags...
I bought rider's backrest. It did fit the bike but there is a bit of cheapness in the cover material. It was a textured vinyl that did not really match my bike or their other products. I think they go shopping in China and get what they get. Still for the money, it can work out.
Just got their Razor Tour Pack in vivid black. They switched the wrap around backrest for a chopped tour pad, only bad part of that was the lower pad was stapled to the upper pad half assed. the latches are a little tough to get to close......however, the paint looks suitable and it doesn't seem flimsy. I'm riding to Nashville in June so won't know until then how it holds up. but for the price and the 4-5 times a year that I will use it....it will suffice.
Got about 1500 miles on a set of their lowers. Paint holding up well and they still look good. I have had them off a couple times and tabs, hardware, brackets all intact.
im running them. got em about a month ago... they are decent for the price. paint is not perfect but its a match. although they did make the mistake of sending me matte black lids and vivid black bags... they made it right fairly quick through phone call and email. i can snap a pic or two later - bike is out back at work.
if you think you have a show bike they are not for you. mine is a rider through and through and i dont mind the minor imperfections that only looking right up on them can be seen.
I have their 6.5" lower on my SG. Absolutely perfect. Perfect color match. No problem with the hardware.
I just bought the new CVO tour pak. They forgot to include the wrap around backrest so, it's in the mail. The tour pak seems to be put together well. It comes with the metal plate on the bottom. I also bought the rack which the tour pak sits on. there's no difference in that and the Harley version.
I'm looking for quality equipment and I think Mutazu produces. So, I'm happy.
little of both i guess. a little wavy up close. lids close fine but don't line up perfectly like OEM. I was in a pinch - broke a stock bag after a drop on gravel. on one of the first rides of the year no less. ouch. needed something cheap and quick so i gave them a shot. they work and they look decent if your not painting them.
If i were buying a set to paint you are better off to pony up a couple hundred more for a nice set from bad dad or top shop or whoever. the only reason mutazu bags are a deal (to me anyways) is they are pre-painted. i haven't decided if they will make the cut long term. over the winter it will be getting an overhaul of one kind or another.
