Big city thunder baffles. I e-mailed them askin which baffles would work for my fishtail straight pipes, & they gave me the part number claiming they would have a nice deep rumble to them, and it would get rid of the "jake brake" sound that happens on decel.
Anyone out there have any history with Big City Thunder? Before purchasing I would like to know what everyone personally thinks and if in fact it does make a nice big difference.
When I had my softail I was running samson short slashers due to the nice contour of the pipes to the swing-arm. Looked great, but slashers were straight, no baffles.
Sounded "tinny or metalic" and had no back pressure.
Installed the BCT's and got all the back pressure back and then some as well as no more "tinny or metalic." That was gone. I put a 2-1 pipe on my softail later on down the road and really did not gain anything from what I had previously with the samsons.
My recommendation yes..
If you search around on here you'll find allot of reviews, mostly positive for their baffle kits. I know they're really popular for v&h big radius pipes

Awesome I'll check around, I may be purchasing them if all results are well
I'm scare they might be to quiet..
The bike is obnoxiously loud now, and quite honestly don't sound like a harley, with these QQ baffles give it that nice deep tone? I know the jake brake will be gone
i had an 04 SE deuce with v&h big radius, cut the baffles down for more "no baffle" sound but still sounded quiet.put a set of bct baffles in,(quick fyi--thought they sent me the wrong ones because they were loose in the pipe, called and he told me thats how they fit)... it was night and day!loud as hell with hp gain and all the backpreasure!their customer service is great!

I had the QQ baffles in a set of V&H Big Shot Duals and they were definitely not too quiet (for me anyway)...
Here's a short clip of mine before I switched to a D&D
